Has anyone here, any experience in making commercials? At Festival, we are going to be creating some to give free to therapists around the country to add to their programs and to put on their websites and disperse throughout the profession.

We need people in front of and behind the cameras, so don't be shy. It will be fun! Anybody want to have fun?

Ryan Hoyme (aka massagenerd has already done tons of work at https://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=5F0C3AB664E27A90) and Richard Bystiga will head up the commercial and still projects. Let us know and we'll get you on the list.

I have never made a commercial, however if I can help in someway I will try.
I've been on TV shows, radio hosts and make my own little videos as you know.
I'm in for some FUN, Gloria
My wife will be coming with and she can help with taking pictures.

My husfriend might be interested! I will mention that to him. what will that entail? Something like a commercial "booth" were people will get to say their "shpeel" on camera? are you looking for volunteers or paid?
No pay involved, we are going to let these be used for free, to spread the word about massage. We need all aspects of making commercials!

Hi Mike ~ What a great idea! This will be my first visit to WMF and unfortunately, I will only be attending Thurs p.m. thru Sat p.m. because we'll also be enroute to SC that trip. For what it's worth, and if it fits into your production schedule at all, I have done corporate video production before (all phases behind the camera) and would love to volunteer! My husband has no experience in that area, and since I've already bribed him with the possibility of Bluegrass music, maybe he would consider it too ...
Hi Marilyn,

Yes, we would love for you and your husband to join this effort to grow the profession. We need ideas now. Since you have experience, you've seen and created some, could you be the "Motivation and Message" Director? Neat title huh?

When the commercial starts getting too off topic you bring it back. Do we need cue cards? At all? Where? When?

We do not know all the actors or camera people or anything at this point, but people are excited. We will all meet at lunch Thursday in the dining hall which in the Alumni Bldg. Then we will get to know each other a little and talk about filming over the weekend, so we'll have a tenative schedule and people can match the availabilities with their class schedules.

It is going to be a fantastic weekend! I look forward to meeting you and your husband then. You have a great Labor Day!

Is there a script, or is this to be Q&A format, or more free-form stuff? It would be helpful to know what sort of format you have in mind...let me know when yu can. Feel free to email me if you want, and we can chat "outside the box" or else I'll try to catch you online here. Thanks! ~m
Here is great. It may prompt others' thoughts and that's the end goal. This is wide open. There will be a fireside type chat with the Hall of Famers and industry leaders. Wewill do short interviews with vendors in front of their booths. We will film classes and the entertainment events.

It would help you tremendously to get familiar with the schedule at www.worldmassagefestival.com Click on the calendar on the front page. The dates are in yellow. Let me know if you have any questions.
