ABMP is proud to sponsor the award-winning national event, EveryBody Deserves a Massage Week, and looks forward to your participation. Since 1995, ABMP members have given their time, money, and effort to help those less fortunate, while also promoting themselves and the profession. This year's event will be held the week of July 10-16, 2016.

Also, January, 2011, I founded SWEET SERENITY MASSAGE FOR CHARITY CHANGING THE WORLD THROUGH CARING FOR KIDS. Sweet Serenity does massage for $1 a minute and 100% of all the monies goes to the Charities. So far in the last 3 years Sweet Serenity has done Charity Events for: Council on Aging raising money for the United Way, Breast Cancer Research, Bark for Life for the American Cancer Society, Organ Donation. Our Big Event each year is at the World Massage Festival www.worldmassagefestival.com where we raise funds for the Shriners Hospital Children's Burn Unit in Greenville, SC. We pay all out own expenses as we do not have any corporate sponsoring, and give back 100% keeping nothing for ourselves. Last year 2011, the World Massage Festival was in North Carolina, this year, Las Vegas, Nevada, and next year Long Beach, California. If you are attending this event will you please help us raise funds for the children? Sweet Serenity is Massage Therapists giving back because of a profession that they love. It is such a wonderful feeling giving back. We do these charity events year round as we are asked.

This is what goes on in Pensacola, FL the last Friday in October for the last 3 years,
AMTA, ABMP, FSMTA, and MTAA all came together today in Pensacola, FL at the VA Clinic for the Homeless Standdown. FREE Chair Massage was available along with free haircuts, food, medical, dental, new clothing, new sleeping bags and much more for the over 600 homeless who came for the event. We all had a ball.—

Thank you for sharing, Darcy. It is wonderful that you work with peers from all associations to give back to the veterans and their families. It is even more wonderful that you donate massage monthly and not just once a year. Thank you for sharing your story with us all.

This is what goes on in Pensacola, FL every month. We just do not do it one week out of the year. The last Tuesday of every month you can find many of us at the VA Clinic on Hwy 98. Also, it is not just ABMP. We all get together and go and Honor our Veterans.Yesterday we had an excellant turn out at the VA Clinic in Pensacola, FL Many Therapists to help give FREE Chair massage to our Verterans and their families. The kicker is, there was a mixture of ABMP, AMTA, FSMTA, and MTAA. I just love it when all the Assoiciations and Organizations come together in Pensacola, FL for the cause. We all get along so well. I wish for more of this all over America. There were at least 2 therapists from each association and organization. We had a ball.

It sounds like you will be making a big impact on your community by not only donating money, food, and toys, but also massage work to those who might not otherwise be able to afford it.
