Hi Beulah. Thank you for the invite. I use Lavender oil mostly in my massage room here at home. Get my oils from www.youngliving.com I just love them. I have an oil lamp burner and I just pour the lavender oil in and turn on the lamp. Great Aroma!

Hi Darcy , Im a Young Living distributor , at first being an aromatherapist I found Young living to be a controversial subject but I did allot of research and found YL were realy the only company that 100% backed there oils , My clients love the oils and allot sign up with the company so they can get the 24% off , I do not promote selling it I just let my clients make there own opinions if they like the oils and decide to use them it is a cheaper way for them to enjoy them .

I do allot of Orthopedic work and I swear by Pan-away for that .
When I do Oncology Massage I love the peace and calming ,lavender, joy and many more depending on their stage of illness .
all of my clients and friends always comment on the fragrant smell of my office and my home , I also wear a wolf oils pendant around my neck that defuses oils around me 24/7

I do the same Beulah. Do not promote. I give some things away to try as well. I can say I went to the dentist last monday and had no plaque on my teeth. She asked me what kind of toothpaste I used and how often I flaused. When I told her I do not flause and use Theives Essential Oil toothpaste she was interested.
  • Beulah

Sounds like we think the same .............. that is great for our clients!!

Thanks for the invite to join the group! I love essential oils but in our school it was always stressed not to use scents because so many people are sensitive or worse, allergic to them, and the aroma tends to linger. Did you ask your clients before you used them? Did you need to clear the scent from the room before your next client?

I use Young Living essentials oils and do use them in the Raindrop technique. My favorite one to use in massage is lavender. It really relaxes the client.
  • Beulah

Hi Pam , yes I ask all of my clients before the sessions , In my offlice I have one room that oils are not used and a fan is on at all times . Most of my clients tell me what oil they want before I even ask ... All of my clients comment on the wonderful aroma as they walk in I have never had a complaint ever ..................
Yes you do have to be careful with some scents but being defused in the air there is little to no harm that can be done unless an allergy is an issue . All of my clients are word of mouth and referrals from physicians I work with so they all know how my practice is run .But you do bring up a good point as in some situations oils are not recommended.
  • Beulah

I love using lavender it is such a universal , gentle oil . I really personalize my use of oils to each client depending on their Individual therapeutic needs .I have my favorites though. :)

Thanks for the tips! I guess that I've been a little paranoid and I need to start being a little more free thinking. Can't wait for my next client!

    Hi all,
No need to apologize for being cautious. I wish that more people were as considerate as you and Beulah. There are important things to take into consideration when using essential oils during massage but I also use them
(by request) for 90% of my clients. Most of them I make custom blends for
to fit their individual health assessment and needs. I always blend my oils
before applying on the skin and patch test if I am concerned about allergies.
You are smart to be thinking about your clients overall well-being but don't be intimidated about using essential oils. Educate yourself on safety precautions and contraindications and you and your clients will blossom!

Can you explain how you use the Pan-Away oil? I have neck and shoulder issues and would like to be able to relieve the pain without resorting to medications. Thanks

I would like to know more about Dr. Hill if anyone is able to share more information.
I would also be interested in a website address if he has one. Thanks for any educational information on these oils that would be valuable.

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about White Mugwort?
I hear some say never to use it but some say you can use it .
How do you feel about it?
