I'm beginning to agree that "Facebook" is a waste of time for networking and new business contacts.
Good morning Carol! Thanks for adding me as a friend. I looked at your page and feel somewhat connected with you in the fact that we are both relatively new. ANR MASSAGE is my first business venture. I learn everyday from others who have "been there and done that."
So far my greatest advice is to meet as many people as you can. Talk to everybody about what you do. Also find out what THEY do. Show interest in them and they are more likely to show interest in you. I have been spending alot of time networking-not only to get my name out there but to learn from what others have to say about their entrepreneurial experiences.
I'm curious. Are you new to the massage industry? If so, I still feel that it is very important to continue your education. Keep studying and researching all things massage oriented.
Another piece of advice that I feel is helpful...give to others. I'm not meaning to sound like a hippie or anything :) but I find that the satisfaction of donating a service here and there helps me to stay grounded. It reminds me of why I do what I do. It could mean volunteering some time or even just mentoring a fellow therapist/student.
I hope this is helpful and gives you a little to think about. I would love to keep in touch.
