My name is
David B. Blum and life is good. I am one of the lucky people because I found what I love to do and earn my living doing it. Today I am a Massage Therapist, Reiki Professional and Teacher.
Prior to this, I was involved for 27 years in the field of physical therapy. As time went on, I became increasingly dissatisfied with the trends in the health care industry so I did the only thing that made sense to me. I quit my job and enrolled in massage therapy school! This is the best choice I have ever made. I am now a proud graduate of the world renowned Desert Institute of the Healing Arts.
Upon graduating, I was immediately ready to begin my own practice. I jumped at the opportunity to open
Healthy Touch Massage Therapy within the
Center for Advanced Energy Therapeutics (see the listing in the Holistic Tucson Online List). I am humbled to work at this Center in association with a group of incredibly gifted, professional healers and bodyworkers.
My specialty is working with people who have tried other, more traditional therapies and have met with limited or no success but still want more. Anyone suffering from injuries or illnesses that have not been resolved by conventional medical care would definitely benefit from my services. Additionally, anyone with a high level of stress and having trouble managing it would also be a good fit for my unique blend of therapy. Aside from traditional massage techniques, I also provide Myofascial Release, Strain/Counterstrain, Craniosacral, Reiki, Sports Massage and Pre-Natal Massage. You may read more about these
therapeutic techniques on my website.
I received my Reiki
training at the Center for Advanced Energy Therapeutics and have attained the advanced level. Reiki has become an important part of my life both personally and professionally.
I am passionate about my position as an instructor at the
Cortiva Institute Tucson (formerly the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts). It gives me the opportunity to inspire and educate the students there to elevate them beyond average to become the best they can be; extraordinary, compassionate, skilled professional therapists.
The Center for Advanced Energy Therapeutics also offers a
monthly drawing. My contribution is a one hour complimentary massage. All of us at CAET look forward to meeting you soon.

Hi David,
Yahoo! Thanks for joining our group and I'm excited to hear that you shared the idea of a Cortiva/ABMP instructor workshop. You never know, it could be possible. We will sometimes consider that option and provide the in-service free of charge based on a couple of requirements. We typically like to combine a couple of campuses so that the group is large enough and the session would need to be manditory. We also request that the directors are in attendance and if possible, someone from corporate as well. Keep us posted for sure! Always love to come to Arizona! Also, be sure to let us know if you try some of the resources/techniques that we shared. Best wishes to you!
