massage and bodywork professionals

a community of practitioners

Do you have questions about your website?

I am starting a new group here for massage therapists to talk about their websites or anything related to creating a website or blog.

Do you have a website and it isn't being found by the search engines? Do you have a website and it isn't getting you any new clients or making you additional money on the side?

Do you want your own selfhosted blog to talk about massage for your clients or for other massage therapists?

I can help! I have been doing websites since 1999 and can help with most any question or challenge. I am also working with massage therapists to set up their own blogs and start learning how to make money online just writing about massage or other health related topics or just about anything at all!

Hi The problem with shutterfly is that they don't actually create pages with file names which is what the search engines look for. It also doesn't look like you are using any metatags on your pages which are the code that the SE look at to rank and list your site.

While it looks nice - it isn't going to get any traffic that way.

Your domain is too general using the word florida - it should be your city or specific area of town if applicable. What would people put into the search engines to look for you? Usually some form of 'massage, your city'. That is what your domain should be.

The program that I use and promote has it all explained. It is a little bit more expensive than some others ($299 a year) but it is worth it because you will get a few clients a week from it all year round if you follow the action guide.

This page on my website explains every step of building a site.

Yes SiteBuild it is the company I use for a few of my many websites. It is very intensive and comprehensive. It is more about building a business than just a website.

I went to your site and it is under attack from some hackers. I just had that happen and it is a pain to clean up. Contact your host immediately and then follow all of the steps they have outlined.

For a networking site I would try this ning.com which is what this site is done with. I just found that out and am thinking of ideas for using ning.

Have you thought of selling your home study media through an affiliate program? I am looking for more good programs to promote. I can tell you more about it if you are interested.

Hi Julie; I came across a company on-line called Site Build It. On paper they sound pretty good. Do you have any info regarding them. I sell Bowen Home Study media on eBay and my website www.bowenhomestudy.com. But, I have room for improvement. Also, want to do a site for natural health networking.
