I am always amazed how many therapists do not have literature in their offices for educational purposes.
I suggest putting out a quarterly newsletter that you can post on your website, in the office and do as mailers. Clients get educated about the wonders of massage and their health and stay connected w/ your business.
I also use these newsletters when I am involved in networking groups. "Massage Marketing" puts out some great newsletters you can customize to your business needs.
Also- why is it that far too many therapist do not take a thorough medical history when working with new clients? I see clients at least once a month that had been working w/ another therapist...after doing a medical history and probing into their health, only to find out they have a medical condition that is totally contraindicated for massage. Its a risky business not taking a medical history and really talking to your clients new or old. You'll be amazed at the information you get from them if you just take the time.
