Hi Edgar,

That is great that you want to own your own spa. To do that requires some good business skills, start by developing your own practice so that you learn the ropes, after you start getting enough clients you will want to start hiring people, and then the next step would be to be a full service spa. Check out the link below, I think it can give you some great information to get your practice and spa started.

Congratulations. It's a big accomplishment to complete school and get certified.

Ditto to Jim's comments. Good advice.
I also support therapists in their journeys. One of the common mistakes I see is not having a clear vision and not being sure how to get one. It's ok not to be 100% sure about what you want right out of school. But if you're not sure be sure and spend time exploring options. Getting massage is one great way to do that. :)

Don't let not knowing stop you from making a decision. I've seen people get clearer by trying things out.
Enjoy!

Hi Edgar,

Congratulations on your recent graduation! What are your plans now? Are you planning on having your own practice or working for someone?

A few things to keep in mind.

1. Keep clear on your purpose and vision
2. Master your chosen massage techniques
3. Learn everything you can about marketing and building a practice

I try to make regular post on my blog about various aspects of running a massage practice. Check them out to learn a few things, and if you need anything let me know. One of my purposes now is to help other therapists build their practices and accomplish their dreams.

Jim
