JUST RELEASED Massage Therapy Body of Knowledge Project JUST RELEASED

Well, I'm so excited to say that it's finally happened! After many years of feverish work, the Massage Therapy Body of Knowledge Project has posted their first draft for public comment. This monumental project seeks to establish a basis for a consistent set of standards, scope, skills, and definitions of massage in order to unite the field on a national basis. Comment by Mike Hinkle on September 15, 2009 at 10:01am: Tell all your friends. There are over 50 pages. I hope people take their time and really undrstand the draft. I also hope they look at it from other therapists views as well. This is what will determine how schools will have to change their curriculum.

Of course, these are supposed to be recommendations to the states to acccept or not. Then it will probably be handed to some state education depts., as they have been handed the ball there.

There is still a long ways to go, but the journey is being thought out and planned.
