massage and bodywork professionals

a community of practitioners

I have posted this photo in a few other places, including my Facebook Wall and MassageMag.com Blog, but I think that the concept is worth repeating.

I asked the following questions:

1. What do you see?

2. What might be the cause?

3. What, if anything, need be done?

What are your thoughts/responses?

.

For now,

Its interesting...But I never check leg length.  I don't pay much attention to posture for my massage work..

LLI ?   = leg length inequality? At least an apparent discrepancy. We cannot see the pelvis, obviously, which may be rotated creating all or part of this apparent leg length change.

I had a few comments regarding the watch on another forum which I posted this photo. As a physical therapist, there are no rules against watches/rings.

1. A Practitioner that shouldn't be wearing a watch... I also see an LLI

2. forgetfulness... genetics or the QL might be tighter on the right side due to a person sleeping on their left side.

3. Well, it should be removed... Proprioceptive Muscular Facilitation, A good hip stretch, deeper work into the QL, Lats, and or gluteous maximus

Does what you see in the photo necessitate treatment?

Walt,

Happy Friday 13th.

1. I see a leg length discrepancy and a slight lateral rotation of left foot.

2. Pelvic tilt, longer leg bones.

3. Check at hips, work soft tissue and recheck.
