Always heard and read to be careful as a massage therapist to avoid repetitive stress injuries, as a therapist for the past ten years and feeling fine I guess I thought it could never touch me, oops! Be seriously warned and take heed of advice to avoid this injury. Now for the healing, I've been icing, stretching, utilizing cross fiber in self treament, avoiding torque type movements and avoiding many of the lifting techniques I've previously used in delivering massage. Any other suggestions out there?

It's possible that you may also have an imbalance in your forearm muscles. Generally, the forearm flexors will be strong and tight and the extensors weak and tight. Stretching the flexors while strengthening the extensors-after you are pain free can be helpful.

Thanks! I have been strengthening the extensors w/lt. weights as well as focusing on flexor stretches and massage. It's got to get better.
Hi Kathryn, I agree with Jodys recommendations. I take it you are taking suppliments eg glucosomaine and chrodritin and getting regular massage+ Reiki yourself ? get your upper thoracic and cervical areas checked too just in case it could be nerve related. I like to get my forearms stripped out at least once per month.
