Hi, I'm in Texas.  This week a chiropractor told one of my clients that medicare now covers Massage Therapy.  Is this correct?  Thanks, BonnieB

I don't think that is correct.  I am in California and have worked in chiro and medical offices. Medicare only covers physical therapy.

Thanks, Jody.  I think if there were a major change like Medicare covering Massage, we would be notified in some way.  I appreciate your response.

Unfortunately Medicare does not cover massage, as much as it would benefit the geriatric population. Medicare also does not cover vision, dental, or hearing, and that's also unfortunate. Just at the stage of life when we need more massages, vision, dental care, and our hearing, the government chooses not to cover those areas of health care. Oh, well, maybe next lifetime.
