New to the site, I have recently decided to go out on my own. I have my room all set up and all my ducks in a row. Any advise for a new therapist?

Congrats on the big move!
I'm struggling to find my own place that I can afford, in the mean time I'm reading tons and tons of business/marketing advice. There are a lot of massage business coaches out there with good advice (and some "ehh" advice). Look around to see which ones to learn from and follow. It never ceases to amaze me how much stuff I still need to do to generate business.
To keep costs low look out for Vistaprint deals on Living Social. Google "Vistaprint + Livingsocial" and you are bound to find a 'get $70 of product for $17" on one of the different city sites. At least one of the LS sites will have one once every couple of months.
Congrats! It's a big deal to be on your own.
My suggestion is to use social media and socialize with people. Don't spam that your a massage therapist, just socialize. Find out what they do for a living and as you get to know them, or they get more comfortable with you, start asking them about their pains. You know they have them. It's just getting them to say they do. Than tell them that you can help them with their issue and see if they would be interested in getting a massage.
Social media is a big part in todays market and it's free. Get them into the office and it should be good from than on out. I hope this helps. I need to do more of this by the way. I would have 4 times more clients than I do now.
