Thanks Michael for the invitation. I just moved to Florida from Virginia so I'm still learning my way around.

I also love the Oakworks Portal Pro. It is my favorite chair, by far. Warmly, Ariana Vincent, Ariana Institute, Austin, Texas

My chair, and I LOVE it, is the Oakworks Portal Pro 3. I've had it since '06 and I take good care of it. I have had no problems with it and setup/break down is very simple. I purchased it through my old school and got a substantial discount. It came with a case, but I have never used it.

The contruction is sturdy and it is generally very light. It also has small wheels when you need to move it around.

I am glad to touch base with people here. I love the power of networking.

Hi All. Russel, & Ruthellen I'm about to start my business doing chair massage here in West Palm Beach. I'm looking for a good chair. Can you recomend one?

Michael, I'm feeling that possitive energy. :) I'm glad you're all here and willing to lend some advise. I'm grateful. Thanks all.

Is everyone heading to the FSMTA convention this week?

Thanks for joining. Your description of a 'new forum'. I want us to have this resource locally, regionally and naturally.

I'm glad to see FL has a new forum for MT's. I am Ruthellen recently transplanted to Jacksonville refocusing my practice on on-site seated and therapeutic massage. Also I'm planning to start a blog focused on energy work. Got a chair? on Florida's first coast? I might need your help. As a member of Visit Jacksonville, I've been reaching out to local businesses in the events and business travel markets. Thanks for being here.

Hello. A little introduction here. I just found the overall site and then this group. I am currently practicing in Tampa at a smallish office in downtown. I have three rooms, renting the other two out to other therapists.

I also have a chair massage business that spans the entire state and always need to know more therapists in different places so when I do get a job in different locations I have a network that can find me someone if I don't already have someone I can call at a moment's notice.

I think this group is a great idea, and I hope you will let stay. Im a LMT in Maryland, and havent yet gotten licensed in Florida since i moved here. So although I cant practice at present here in Florida, I am still involved in the profession since I am the Project Manager for the Massage Therapy Body of Knowledge project. Im excited about this project, which brings together a group of extraordinary therapists (two from Florida) together to create a common Body of Knowledge for Massage Therapy. We are just getting started now, but you can follow our progress, and in the near future participate in the project. Our website is at http://www.mtbok.org.
