Maria,
Thanks for reminding me to step into my power center with more awareness. Frequently, I remind myself to sing the song I learned while attending Sunday School at Baptist Churches, "This Little Light of Mine, I'm Gonna Let It Shine". I just have chill bumps right now as the song resonates through me.

Ariana,

One more suggestion, not a poem and not specifically about Reiki either. But it is an inspirational piece that was incorporated by my late Reiki Master in the packet she gave us for Level II. It gave me chills when I read it as a student. It is from Marianne Williamson's book (I believe it is called a Return to Love). The opening lines are: "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us.... Your playing it small doesn't serve the world."

You can google those opening lines and find the rest of it... the quote is often erroneously attributed to Nelson Mandela. I still have my copy, now preserved in a plastic sheet, at the front of my own Reiki binder, and I now give a copy to my own students.

And it still gives me chills every time I read it.

What a nice group of Reiki-Folks. It's nice to be here. I have an active Reiki practice in Hobbs, New Mexico, USA and will teach a Reiki I Class this coming Saturday.
