Lots of Questions

I am getting a lot of questions from therapists just starting out and thought maybe a discussion group could serve as a reference point for them.
This time of transition is a delicate time. So many therapists lose confidence. Do not let this be you. This group is here to help you make it. You ARE one of us!

There is now an alliance forming for therapists and students at the Massage Therapy Alliance of America. Click on this link for details http://www.mtaamassage.org

Massage business cards are important to our massage business, regardless if we're working for ourselves or someone else.

I've updated my website page for massage business cards with more massage marketing tips to attract clients. (Thus, if you've already seen what I've written, visit again! ;))

I've added one huge tip that I'm certain many have used, yet no-one's written about.

Come take a look!

I thought Step 1 was "Cut a hole in the box."

Sorry, sorry, nevermind.

Hi all, I just wanted to pass along a great site that a couple of people here have already recommended - www.WholeVisit.com, its actually a free marketing site for health professionals like us. For all you new massage therapists out there, you should definitely set one up. It even gives you your own web address. Plus it helps you get referrals from other specialists like chiroprators. Definitely a great and free resource. This is step 1.

Loved your blog Gloria on Reiki. While many massage therapists do incorporate Reiki into their massage programs, I noticed that there are far too many who are hesitant to promote this in their business. Not sure exactly what the reasons are, other than they are afraid that they will be seen as 'spiritual weirdos' to their clients or perhaps they themselves don't believe in it. I find this especially true in the Eastern states where Reiki is seen by the general public as nothing more than hype and not a true form of healing. I find this sad and wish more therapists out there would not be afraid to promote their gifts. I am proud to offer this form of energy healing in my business because I have seen actual healing take place, not only spiritually, and emotionally but physically as well.
