Of course mean time I didn't receive reply to my questions. If will receive will update you. The reason why I'm offering you this “correspondence” is because meantime it seems to be easy to confuse general public on
scientifically and clinically proven healing power of massage.in cases of fibromyalgia massage therapy is most  effective method of treatment because developments of this painful symptoms starts on level of muscles and should be treated by starting muscles/fascia mobilization in order to manage this chronic inflammation of
muscles and other connective tissue. this time I will not allow to confuse general public because if Valerie will not reply I will post explanation why massage is most effective.

I believe that soon all will change from this perspective and we as well our methodology will be not discriminated anymore. Alot depends on us. In my opinion first of all  we should stop compromising on:”
feels good”and in promotional material to use relaxing benefits as a main benefits
of medical stress management massage, as well orthopedic massage. Above I used word
“discrimination”. I didn't miss spoke. Many cities and states all over US
regulating massage therapy as an adult entertainment. At the time physical
therapists billing insurances for massage therapy modality. There is special
CPT code for massage. Is it discrimination???????

Best wishes.

Boris

I am a recovered fibromyalgic who had to leave the medical profession to discover the cause and cure of this condition, and am completely recovered. Drugs are not necessary. Message on the
neck can make it worse. Do not give up from failed hope. Keep going, and be
very careful about what you learn from these videos.

I have had very good results working with fibromyalgia clients. Finding the proper pressure for each client seems to provide the best outcome.
I agree that we, in general, do use relaxing benefits too much in most of our marketing. I think that is because the general public perceives massage therapy in general as a " stress relief or minor muscle soreness" treatment. Most of my clients are amazed with the techniques and education (as well as results) that they receive during a session. "I've never had anyone work on my abdomen" or " Nobody has ever worked on me in the side lying position" are things I hear from new clients all the time! I guess what I'm trying to say is, I get new clients with the term "massage", but I keep them coming back with "bodywork"!
Hi Greg.
I appreciate your participation in this so important discussion. First of all I believe we should continue to call our therapy not a bodywork but massage therapy because of:" we are providing therapy by means of massage.
therapy ,which means we providing benefits to the health of humans.any dictionary will support my following statement:"any procedure that contributing to the human health is a medical procedure.use of "Bodywork"can confuse general public and will not help us to get recognition first of all by general public as a therapeutic methodology.
you mentioned use of relaxation and stress relief. Here I see crucial point to discuss and clarify.
according to many surveys including from Harvard Medical School in average 90% of doctor visits due to stress-related diseases, such as anxieties, hypertension, clinical depression, muscular aches, tension headaches,TMJ dysfunction and much more. Massage is the most powerful methodology in stress management including reverse of many diseases that where developed due to negative affects of stress. Therefore I would recommend to all of us to use words stress management instead of stress reduction. in my opinion definitions of what we really doing is extremely important. In the future I will offer explanation, that will support all my statements that I made at this post including why massage is a most powerful methodology in stress management which means management of hypertension, anxieties and other life-threatening diseases. The scientifically based information that I planning to provide members possibly can help you to promote/marketing our therapy including to medical doctors for referring patients to us.BTW.stress related social medical diseases taking pandemic proportion, and according to many medical publications, antidepression, antianxieties medications est. do not working well and most of the doctors happy to referre patients to us.All depend on how you will promote your services .it must scientifically sound.I believe I can help from this perspective by sharing information. My practice is build up on 90% of physicians referrals.this is what we all have to-do and this is not difficult.Deliver what you are promising. Results this is what massage therapy is about.
Best wishes.
Boris
PS.my hope that I was clear enough in regards any dictionary will support:"Massage therapy and Medical massage" should be interpreted as the same definition of therapeutic procedure.Dear Greg.would like to ask you to join my facebook group and to post the same post. In such a case many of other practitioners will be able to participate, contribute and benefit from our discussion.
