Erica, reading your comment about your"little f******" goats made me choke and spit out my coffee.....so funny. I have to admit that chasing little f****** goats will never be a reason for me to delay a massage. Though I wish I lived in an area where that could be a problem.

Yay, Choice! Keep up the good work! :)

Marilyn--

Hooray for Poopsie's return! (That . . . kind of sounds a little wrong, doesn't it?)

Re: goats--smart ones are frustrating, but not nearly as much as the stupid ones. We've got a couple that are dumb as stumps, to the point where we keep having to fish their frickin' heads out of one of the fences on a daily or twice-daily basis when they're in the lower pen. We've pretty much just given up and are letting them free range day and night--at least, we have the last couple of days.

Little f****** discovered the turkey feed this afternoon, too--right before I was to start working on a client. I grabbed my Chakos and ran out the door, hollering at the goats. Luckily, the client is a friend of mine, and he wandered out the door to express his approval of my loud goat-herding skills. *laugh*

I got a massage today. And proceeded to do nothing productive the rest of the day. My IC and I have decided to do trades where we each get a massage every other week. Too hard trying to get both of us in every week. It was fun, because she is not comfortable/familiar with prenatal work. I told her I was the best person to get comfortable with since I will tell her if she is doing something "wrong".
Good deal with Poopsie, Mar! That is one stubborn cat! How'd the horse deal go?
Lisa, thanks! I'm with Marilyn with keeping you in thoughts and prayers. Sometimes it just feels so inadequate. If I were more into energy work I'd being throwing the healing blue light at you!

Happy Anniversary to you & your wife, Choice! My husband & I just passed our 24th...so if you two are having as much fun as we are, your next twelve will be even better than the first.

Got back on here tonight just to cancel the "Poopsie" comment I made earlier...Cats DO have nine lives after all! She showed up for food tonight after about a week. She looks a little beat up but okay...and the attack I heard a few nights ago apparently didn't involve her at all. Color us happy! I'm keeping her indoors for awhile unless she complains.

Today was Lori's and my 12th anniversary. We decided we will do at least 12 more. Went to see the movie "Inception" so I'm not sure if this is reality talking or if I'm dreaming

Erica, I thought of you & your goats just this morning! So funny you should post today. My daughter & I were browsing around a local antiques "farm" for inspiration this morning and they had baby goats there...so cute, but I agree, they can be such a PITA to own (a couple used to keep our horses company at one barn.) I never could quite figure out if it's because they're so smart or because they're so stupid. Nice hair on some of them, though!

Lisa, we've missed you! Hope things begin to improve on all fronts for you...sure wish I had something more useful to offer besides prayers & N.A.M.I references...gotta believe the universe has a plan, I suppose. Speaking of PITA, insurance companies can be found toward the top of many lists, mine included. (I apologize for the rant ~ )

Just got a call from a friend who wants me to help her work a horse...I'll try hard not to injure myself, I have a full massage day tomorrow and can't afford a bad back! Just a different version of a rowdy party, I guess.

Oh--a very sad Poopsie update...she became dinner for a fox or coyote the other night. It will be a looong time before I let myself off the hook for that. **sigh**

Terry--

It's been a mild summer thus far. I hear the Farmer's Almanac has predicted a short, somewhat wet summer, which doesn't seem to be too far off. The goats have realized that bunnies get fed grain-like stuff and have started breaking into the rabbit cages and being a general PITA. I converted a trailer into a turkey coop, and we have eight new baby bunnies as of last week. :)

hey everyone. :) was feeling the need to check in. life is still fairly hectic. my daughter is back in a facility for her mental illness. they are trying to push the insurance company into getting her into a longer term place. the problem here in TX is that most places around my area are short term (1-2 weeks) crisis centers. my daughter isn't currently in a crisis mode but still needs some intense therapy. the longer term places (1-3 months) are further out. the insurance company doesn't want to pay for her to go there but then balks at the short term place for admitting her. seems it's just a game we have to play. unfortunately we are at the mercy of the insurance company. i have told my daughter that she needs to lower her expectations of what help she may get and if this round of short term doesn't do it for her, she will have to make the commitment to get better with what we have. i think she is looking for some magic meds and a magic place to make everything within her better. she doesn't want to accept the fact that SHE alone has to make things better by different choices, behaviors and mindset. and although i told her i know it isn't easy to just change like that, she has to realize that no one place is going to make it happen for her. ugh.

other than that, i can't wait for school to start for my boy. by this time in summer vacation i am always ready for a break. although i am NOT ready to have to get up at 6 am. no matter what i do i just can't manage to get up easily at that time of the morning. (insert i know i need to start exercising more and taking care of myself more). :)

massage has been going well. for a couple of weeks it picked up to one a day. which working a full time job as well...that was really good. and it came at a good time since my finances were all screwed up with unexpected life issues. but don't you know, as soon as i get out of the red and back on track the massages subside. while on the one hand i look at this as someone up there is looking out for me...i can't help but wish that i could get out of the "living paycheck to paycheck" mode of life. perhaps i am fooling myself that this will ever be for me. but i keep trying. for what else can one really do right?

glad to see everyone is keeping the rowdy forum going.

and Marissa...I can't wait to see some photos of your little one once here. good luck and know that we are all excited for you!!
