Several years ago, there was a posting on Craigslist. Some place had just gotten /dumped/ on, and a guy was offering up all the snow in his yard--pick up only. *laugh*

You're welcome to it.

But I don't deliver. (g)

Dude. You have all our snow. We want it back!

What really sucks is that this is the second straight weekend where I've had appointments cancelled because of snow.

No need to feel guilty, Lisa. Most years the Winter snow totals around here have been less than a foot. This year has been ridiculous, though. We already had a storm in December that dumped 18 inches on us. The snow they're predicting for Tuesday night may be enough to set an all-time record for total accumulation.

We moved here to the Mason-Dixon line from Minneapolis 10 years ago. It looks like we should have gone further south ;-)}

OMG Steve...that's some snowfall!!!! and here I'm lighting a fire with 45 degree weather. :) i feel guilty now.

as for the blog...has anyone checked out Trevor's site? I like how he handles blogs. it's more an "education" article and he uses his web site to post them so that people are going to his website to read them. helps his website rank high as well as keeps it active and interesting. i also love how he will use stuff he's read somewhere else and give credit to it. then on his tweeter account he posts up the newest entry.

Marissa, blogspot and wordpress are a couple of good generic blog sites. From what I've seen, they're about equal to each other. If you set up Facebook and twitter for your clients, you can synchronize all of them so that FB and twitter send out little notes whenever you update your blog.

I'm exchanging services with a business consultant, and she also suggested that I begin posting on a blog. An email message to my clients letting them know that my blog has been updated would be a gentle reminder for those who haven't had a massage appointment in a while. Plus, presenting yourself as an expert and an industry spokesperson is a good way to enhance your credibility and separate yourself from the pack.

I haven't started looking into what site would be the best place to host my blog. But since I'm still housebound by the 28" of snow that we got here in the D.C. area, maybe today would be a good day for some research.

HMMMMM... This is something to consider. Since I have never set up an official blog, where would I go to do such a thing? Obviously, I could report on here, which is an ideal start. But, Vlad, a "real" blog... where to?

Marissa - I second Marilyn's suggestion. You could actually set up a real blog and do it as time goes on - bet it generates interest AND you can write.
