It's doing well. I should say that I'm dealing with the scarring process right now. Every time I flex and extend it pulls the darn thing. I think I nicked a "lig". Nice visual with the Douglas reference. Don't think I would be able to stomach the dish after that! :)

How are you feeling Stephen? Any better or are you still flyin' with the meds?

Well, I'm off until Tuesday, which should give me enough time to recover just fine. I doused the cut in honey and band-aids, but I'll uncover it tomorrow and the open air should heal it up just fine. Two days is really the max I need on this sort of thing.

Marissa--You've been dealing with a cut since /Thanksgiving/?!? Holy crap! Have you tried just letting it air for a couple of days? I find that really helps heal things up. (And I was making an apple butter thingie--the apples were verra aged, tho. Like Kirk-Douglas-naked type wrinkly.)

Vlad--not allergic to bread and butter, although my sweetie can't do milk products, eggs, nor half a dozen other things, it seems. We are the house of the F*ed Up Digestion, I think. *fingers thumbs up*

So, Vlad, in squirrel massage, does the tail get in the way when supine?
Comment by Vlad on December 20, 2009 at 9:43pm
I meant poor wee "thumb" - human anatomy isn't a squirrels strongpoint.

Erica - you're allergic to SPUDS! You poor wee thing! And your poor wee finger. (Is that enough "wee"s, Stephen?) Seriously, Erica - sorry to hear you hurt your finger - they're our bread and butter, after all. I hope you're not allergic to bread and butter too - that would suck to a massive degree.

Sam's gone from here, I see. Hmmm...

Erica: Feel your pain sister! I'm still nursing a gash across my palm from Thanksgiving. Thankfully, I have contacts that pilfer the ER to bring me all kinds of nifty surgical dressings and gloves. Still sucks though! What were you making? That peeler thingy is a pain to use if the apples are the slightest bit over ripe!

Oh Erica ~ sorry about that thumb! Hope you don't have a full book this week, or if you do, I hope you have full use of your elbows...that sounds painful. If it makes you feel any better (cuz misery sometimes loves company) I burned my hand tonight baking bread--seems the stupid hot pad has a hole in it. :o/

Choice, those pictures are gorgeous! We only have a dusting of snow here at the moment, but my cc skis are waiting!

Where is Samantha lately? Seems she checked out...I miss hearing from her.

*chuckle* Well, I'm violently allergic to potatoes, so you probably wouldn't even have gotten me in the same room. But thanks. ;)
Comment by Choice Kinchen on December 20, 2009 at 7:36pm
Erica, I was needing some help peeling potatoes, but never mind :)

My evening:

*tests new apple peeler/slicer/corer, nicknamed "The Violator"*
*nicks left thumb trimming apple bits*
*swears, trims off bits of skin, keeps going*
. . .
*much later, is trimming half-rotten apples of the oogy bits*
*knife slips, gashes left thumb*
*gasps*
"ah, f***!"
*rinses, wraps thumb in paper towel, & holds above head*
*gives up for the evening*
