Aw Trevor, I think you're too hard on yourself. Great day for wine around here, too (it snowed last night) but my kids informed me that I tend to spit on them if I've had wine before giving a massage...but it's their fault since they tend to be too chatty...but I take it under advisement in case a real client wants to talk! (I could just call it my own version of the "spray & stretch" technique, I guess!)

LinkedIn is completely different to Facebook, more about connecting with other professionals and great if your job hunting or want to be headhunted. It took me a while to figure it out and I don't use it much but I'm not up for the whole Facebook socialising thing, besides everyone would be able to see how many friends I don't have!

i'm on LinkedIn as well but only by default of an invite. i find it to be not as user friendly...that's american for "i have no f... clue what i'm doing". :)

Forgot to mention, I use LinkedIn not facebook, so do most professionals here in the UK that I know.

First off, I don't think shifty would be a great nickname for an MT but I suppose if you think it fits I'll wear it!

Marylin, thanks for having a look round my site, I hope you found it interesting. Online booking has been a major change for me as it has meant using a completely different diary system, I use to use Google calendar. So far it appears to be working great. I did a lot if research to find the rigth system for me. And if you ever do find yourself in Glasgow do book in, it will be a complimentary massage of course, that goes for everyone here!

Right that's enough business, I'm having a day off and it's only midday but I'm having a glass (or 3) of wine with my lunch, woohooo!

i have a personal and business one. i'm still unclear as to how the two will interact with each other. i'm hoping not cause i can be a bit unruly in my personal posts. :) but the business one seems to be working well so far.

i got my first review from a client posted on it.

i was running a FB ad but not getting any clicks. so i decided that the ad was a mixed ad. it was textually advertising my gift certificate promotion, but the ad via FB was promoting the page. so nothing was matching. so tonight i tweaked it to have verbage to promote the page. and created another one for the gift certificate. here they are. we'll see if it makes a difference.

Marissa, that's what I like about FB. My friends are only people I want to talk to and hear about their lives. I'm not one of those striving to get a million friends.

Mine is business only. I get all the chit chat I want right here with people I actually want to talk to and hear about their lives. Wow, that sounded awfully harsh, didn't it?!?!? Still not taking it back!

Oh ~ Do you all have Facebook pages just for your business? I have a personal page there; most everyone I talk to is using LinkdIn instead (but I have no business page there yet, either.)

Hey Trevor, I was just wondering about how online booking works! I "shiftied around" on your site (hope you don't mind) to try it out, so thanks for posting it...and I would have actually booked an appointment if Glasgow was in my immediate future! :o(
