. . . I just created a FB page. *crosses fingers*

The FB account is only as safe as you want it to be. The only people on my friends list are people I know. I've kept up with friends I went to high school with 35 years ago. I've reunited with cousins that I lost touch with. I've kept up with my family back in Texas. Anytime people request me as a friend, and I don't know them, I just ignore their request. You can block people and take people off your list. You can limit the amount of info on your info page if you so desire. It can be as safe or not as your email. People don't write letters anymore and I think that FB and places like this has taken it's place. My mom refuses to even get a computer....she's 75....and we're trying to tell her she needs one so we can keep in touch better. Even the thought of getting pics everyday doesn't tempt her. Oh well, it's not for everyone. I used to think I would never learn to text (didn't need to) and would never have use for an ipod. Wrong and wrong. :)

Keep the good faith, Lisa! It will come sooner than you think. What's the business FB account? I have one, Two Rivers Bodyshop. I have it set up to become a "fan". It's new and since I don't have a personal FB account, it's very slow in getting my fan list growing. I have a whopping 4 fans. Time to start begging my clients to fan me so I can stream updates across their pages. :) Luckily, most of them will do it! Personal FB accounts creep me out. Too many people out there can stalk w/o you knowing. At least on here, it's mostly business related! Stalk all you want to! Again, hidden reason I don't have an actual profile picture.
I worked Friday and Saturday, so I really didn't have a Holiday weekend. Oh well. I made money. Times are tough, I would really rather make some cash to pay the bills than sit around eating left overs all weekend!

well so i just started a facebook business page finally. figured it'd be a good start before the web site. of course i only invited folks from my personal fb account that were in the area (many of my friends are still in CT).

today i logged on to find 14 people have signed up and 2 are not from my personal fb account. YAY. :)

how's everyone's weekend been? i have had to work some so it hasn't been much of a holiday weekend. if i'm not putting in hours for the full time job then i'm putting in hours trying to get my massage business off the ground. i can't get there fast enough!! :)

Choice--I do so love me some good deviled eggs. *swoons*

Marilyn--taste test, always. I'm nearly incapable of following a recipe. I tried a couple of days ago, got distracted halfway through, and wound up taking it in a rather different bent.

As for the glaze, I couldn't find any sour cherry jam, so I bought some "red tart Michigan cherry" jam--which wound up far too sweet. I dumped in some apple cider vinegar, added some garam masala spice, whisked it together with a fork and called it good. And it was.

My uncle also made a yummy blue cheese, bacon, and red onion foccacia bread that he did last year for T-day, along with pumpkin pie. Tonight is our 2nd annual Black Friday Feast, wherein people bring leftovers, wine, and guests, and we all stuff ourselves silly again. We've a leg of lamb in the smoker right now and will be following up with a butternut squash soup with a parsley-horseradish pesto.

Everyone is shopping and here I am working. Even my hubby is out amongst the throngs looking for gifts. Time for my next appointment! Maybe he won't show and I'll get to go home early?!?!? :)

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

i've had a surprisingly good day. we were invited to my daughter's boyfriend's house. what i thought was sure to be awkward turned out to be a wonderful learning experience and fun times with his family. thankfully. :)

hope everyone has had a wonderful day. and you bloaks in foreign lands that aren't celebrating...have a drink for us anyhow. any excuse. ;)

i'm really thankful for this site. i have met and gotten to know some super people that i have not doubt will be lasting impressions on my path.

Can you smell that Turkey cooking? Last night I made apple squares, I hate peeling apples, and my whole house smelled like cinnamon apples. Today, the turkey is roasting and it smells like Thanksgiving. The house is clean, the potatoes are peeled, the bird is stuffed, the rolls are rising.... mmmmmmm. Apple cinnamon wine is chilling...ready.

Thank you all for becoming part of my life. I am a better person for knowing all of you. Wishing you all a happy healthy holiday.

Sam- go get 'em girl!

Erica, I'm so jealous I don't think a dozen deviled eggs are going to help.
