oh and i emmerced myself in some Selena music today while I cleaned house. I was reminded of how much I love her music by watching her life's story this morning. Just another reason I can't help but feel I was drawn to TX. :)

Go Cowboys. sorry...i can't help myself. but it's somewhat massage related since i'm gonna have some dallas cowboys as clients sooner or later. :)

school starts on monday. and my boy in a week has gone from showering when it got so bad HE smelled himself to showering 3x this week. i blame it on his 12 yo friend and the new 14 yo Avril type teenage girl named Rachel that's been hanging out with them. i'm not complaining.

my client who had an unintentional release is back for his 3rd bi weekly appointment tomorrow. i guess we'll see how that goes. :)

hope everyone's enjoying their weekend!

Stevie Ray Vaughn is one of my favs ~ as it happens, that's what is presently in the car CD player! Okay, so it sounds like we're good to go...and we'll be stylin' because maybe this is the good excuse I was looking for for buying those Frye boots I "need" (the old ones finally fell apart after 35 years.) The Universe has provided us some travel cash, a large-ish ladies' party would like my services on Saturday afternoon/evening, so we may have enough gas money to continue on to..I dunno..South to Texas? (We should make sure Eeris & Sam get to Erica's too, we can take them with us from there.) I think we're gonna need a Rowdymobile. I propose, next year we cruise the East coast for some of these other Rowdies after we meet up at the WMF in NC.
Speaking of a Dream Cruise, it's a big weekend here in the Detroit area, everyone is out with their vintage cars, cruising Woodward Avenue (which runs between Detroit & Pontiac) and admiring each others' Mopar & metal muscles. Wishing I still had my '65 mustang convertible, except I can do without the traffic.

I was pouting until I got remembered! I keep forgetting that Marilyn and Ty are so close to me here! So, I can get in on the chili and salsa groove and add me a spicy as hell Virgin Mary. I just cringed a little. I can't wait for a real one. PS, the little moose is already 5lbs-12oz. If I haven't popped by the 17th of September, we're going to induce! ROWDY WOO HOO!

Donna, you give me too much credit...I don't have the chops anymore for solo work. :( Somebody told me that with enough practice, it would be like riding the proverbial bike...and they lied. I do like to play along with some jam or other, tho. The empanada idea is super, however! You can keep the tequila all for yourself, though ~ damn near killed me last time, but then, I was over-served.

Nobody rocks like Carlos!! Good choice, Choice! I saw him in Detroit a few years ago, one of the best concerts I ever went to...not bad for another old fart. I love live music. (The Lady Gaga concert coming up that I might have to accompany my daughter to because her boyfriend ditched...not so much! The tickets cost too much to blow it off; they were her Christmas gift. Plus, she doesn't drive.) Could be a learning experience and a new groove...

WOO HOO Party! Put me down for tequila, limes and salt. I'll make up a batch of empanadas. They are bite sized meat filled pies with green chili that are the annual Christmas treat, but a Rowdy party is definitely qualifies as a special event. Looking forward to sampling Choice's salsa.

Marilyn, bring the fiddle! Nothing gets a party going like good fiddle music!

If you're on Facebook, you know I love anything Carlos Santana. Marilyn, I LOVE taste testing salsas....other people have sweet tooths, mine is salsa. By the way, I wouldn't look down on Tanqueray. :)

Seems I accidently left Marissa at home (sorry!) so if she is able, I'll pick her up too. Does anyone on here happen to be a great doula? We might need one.

Choice, bring your salsa anyhow! I just made some this morning and we can compare recipes. Bombay Sapphire--gotcha. Glad you specified, I would have grabbed the Tanqueray. What sort of music do we need at this party? What's on peoples' iPods or CD players? I'm on a lovely Basque kick lately (Luar Na Lubre) which is nice, I even got my fiddle out again. Fun stuff. Shall I bring it?

I would come but I would have to fly. I'm from Texas but live in Salt Lake now. I would bring my salsa and, if it was cold enough, my chili. Make sure there is some Bombay Sapphire as I can't take that on the plane.

Marilyn, I've had a party in my head for a long time....

I'd be happy to pick up Ty and we'll head for Erica's place with lawn chairs (and woolly blankets!) and adult beverages to share, and food too (Erica, do you have goat cheese?) Choice, can you meet up with us there? The Texas crowd could carpool...and maybe Stephen and Trevor could get a cheap flight. (Welcome to the party in my head!)
