Is that anything like taking the road less traveled and not knowing where the hell you are? Days of the week and names elude me much of the time ~ glad I'm in good company. :)

Hope everyone has a great day.

Anytime after September 13th for the little one!

I took the initiative of writing up a press release for my new IC. If anyone has ever done it, then you know it's a roll of the dice if it will get printed. Luckily, mine did in yesterday's edition. So far, I've had 3 appointments booked.... and the day is young.

Marissa, point taken. The sticker will likely have to come off when I get around to washing the car. Upon further inspection from a distance, I was disturbed to see that the typeface is fine & kinda cute but the background picture is of a standard face cradle...which resembles a vajayjay when seen from a certain distance....I'm not kidding. A wee bit too rowdy-suggestive for proper professional representation to say the least, but I think I'll miss hearing those "yeah baby" waves anyhow. (I'm heading back to Chi in a couple hours, having my car washed on the way.)

Right on Erica! Glad to hear that all of that hooplah is taken care of!

Soccer player is good. We'll be going back to the Doc on Tuesday. Doing the 2 week check ups now. Home stretch!

As for hiring on an IC.... Got one! I ended up going with the gal that has the one year of experience. She seems to "fit" more with what I'm looking for. Plus, on a personal note, she is a single mom with two boys and she wants to support her family with massage. That screams hard-worker. A must in this profession. Good to have goals and all that. She start on the books the first week in August. I've been busy ordering business cards, new signage, and promoting her on Face Book as well as sending out press releases to the local papers. Having a blast and praying that it all pans out.

Mar- I can just her some Chi-Town scumbag yelling at you that he has some "tissue you can connect with".

Marilyn--yep, all good. Lawyers traded a couple of letters back and forth and that was about it. I do have to say that I am intensely grateful to the folks at ABMP, though; when my ex-boss began sniffing around and asking questions about my policy coverage, they gave me the heads-up.

Marissa ~ Please let me know when the ass-kicking will commence, I want to get me some of that action! Sheesh, and I thought things here in MI were bad enough, there are still a few raised eyebrows when people happen to find out what I do...maybe I'll just become a connective tissue therapist instead. By the way, how are you doing with the employee search and soccer player? Hope you're feeling great. Thinking of you.

Erica, did the legalities get resolved? I've been thinking of you, too. (Sorry if I missed a post.)

Busy day around here, even had a walk-in from next-door by a person who heard my chiro "had a great massage therapist!" All good. :o)

I have to say that the state of Illinois is sadly misguided when the massage profession is under scrutiny. It took YEARS to make it a licensed practice due to one of our crooked gov's taking all his friends to the local "parlors". Now, we are always policing our own and reporting the unsavory establishments. I know of 2 within a 10 mile radius of my own place. And you would think that the Yellow Pages would really look a little further at people placing ads as "therapeutic" or "therapists" that say they have a large selection of attractive girls. Very sad, sick, and annoying to all of us legit therapists. I may have to go "Fight Club" on their asses.
