Does anyone work with the nori seaweed - the edible kind?
Comment by Felicia Brown on July 27, 2009 at 12:57pm
I love our seaweed gel wraps. They are really aromatic, creamy and not staining for the most part, easy to remove but totally fine to leave on the skin. In fact the way I prefer to do the treatment is to just leave a light coating of the wrap on the skin so that it soaks completely in. No messy clean-up - you can just put moisturizer or massage oil on right after it. Very relaxing and great for the skin. I also like the Warming Algae Body Wrap by Universal as it dries quickly and feels warm on the skin. However you must add a lot of clove oil to cover the fishy smell and do have to work a bit to get it off completely.

Body Wraps! What's your most popular?

Felicia,
The oil is more than a facial oil, I use it as a massage oil, face and scalp massage oil, an after bath oil, and a carrier oil to blend all of my spa body treatments. The ingredients are: Almond, Peanut, Castor, Canola, Olive, Wheat, Sesame, Coconut, Vitamin E, Grapefruit fragrance oil, Clove, Nutmeg, Cinnamon and Bay Leaf Extracts. I have used this oil on everyone including sensitive skin types and allergies to peanuts. The oil is lightweight and the smell is refreshing - somewhere inbetween grapefruit and coconut. Sounds yummie, right?

Alicia and Joanne -

I have a company that makes my body polish for me in retail and professional sizes. I am actually in the middle of a summer sale right now of all in-stock products (everything is available at www.spalutions.com - go to "shopping"). I am out of my trial sizes of the body polish currently but can send you some later once I get through my sale and restock.

Here is an ingredient list and description: Jojoba beads stimulate and smooth the body by removing dead skin, revealing clear, radiant skin beneath. The jojoba beads break down through massage and infuse the skin with moisture. Seaweed extract provides additional hydration and vital nutrients. Essential oils of lavender and tangerine sooth and refresh!

The polish just like all of my body products goes a long way so you don't need as much as you might think for a treatment. Let me know if you have questions here or email me at Felicia@spalutions.com. Thanks!

Hi Felicia! Your own body polish sounds great! Would you give us your "recipe" (where do you get the jojoba beads?) or if you market the body polish, how I can purchase It?

Thanks!

I teach classes on nearly (and completely) waterless spa treatments - except for the laundry - and use my own line of products. My favorite product out of those is a body polish with jojoba beads that dissolve while the gel evaporates. You can literally just brush it off the skin before you move on to your next step. For home use, I actually like to use plain, dry cornmeal as a body polish in the shower. Although it really smells like corn (go figure) and is kind of messy, it leaves your skin really smooth!
