Funny experiences in Massage, we've all had them, lets share them!
I had not long finished my training and had started working at a fantastic sports massage clinic. My last client of the day was new to the clinic and to massage and after I had assessed her and talked about the treatment, I went to leave the room as per normal so she could get changed and I could wash my hands. As I went to open the door the handle fell off! We were locked in! The phone was in the reception area outside, my colleague had just gone in to do an hour and a half session with his client. I explained the situation to my client and then proceeded to give her massage. the session ended up being extra long. An hour and a half later as I heard my colleague leave his room, I called out. He tried to open the door, but broke the handle off from the other side. In the end the local fire department came and had to axe down the door! Fortunately this experience did not deter my client from massage, as she became a regular of mine for many years until she moved interstate.

Ok here is mine. It was in my first years of doing massage 22 years ago... I had my office in a health club in a high rise building in downtown seattle. I got this guy who was acting sort of weird and saying he needed massage to his groin for a pulled muscle. He said a few names of massage therapists who were big names as massage teachers in local schools so I figured if they did it than it must be for real. So I saw the guy a few times I think it was and then he gets the dreaded 'E' while I was working on him. I had just turned him over on his back and the tent appeared. Being new I was shocked and at that exact moment the fire alarm went off in the building!!! I kid you not!! I just left him in the room though and said I would go check to see if we needed to evacuate as there were always false alarms and tests happening. When I got back he was gone! HA! Scared him away!

When I was a recent massage school graduate I was working in the school clinic, and a colleague was giving a massage in the next room. The walls were pretty thin.
The guy I was working on had already made an inappropriate comment, and I had informed him that I wouldn't tolerate any funny business. He apologized and promised not to say anything else.
Unfortunately, it didn't take him long to break the promise, and I told him rather forcefully to get up and get out. My fellow therapist in the next room was working on a very elderly lady, and she told me after the fact that the woman just suddenly started to get up off the table. The therapist asked her what was the matter, and she said " you told me to get up and get out."

I have been pretty lucky so far....no tents yet! lol I did have a creeper such as you did just last week though. First time for me in this situation. The only thing that I kind of giggle about now (though it's not all that funny) is that he requested a towel instead of a sheet for draping. As I am unaware of any statutes regarding this as bad, I agreed to give it a try. During the session I was fumbling around with this stupid bath towel so he offered to adjust it for me. I turned away to allow him to do so and he asked me if "this is better" so I turned back around to see him....omg... holding the towel completely away from himself and there he is bare in the wind! I was SHOCKED! I flew back around, completely caught off guard, and stammered for him to put the towel back on his body and I finished the massage as quickly as I could. Looking back on it now, I should have kicked his butt out the door, but I am going to chalk this one upto "live and learn." I can't believe the nerve of some people though.

I think the funniest was in school and a girl on the table started laughing so hard, she soaked the sheets. And then there are the very loud snorers and the occasional release of gas. That's not always funny!

I used to have a Professor from the local University come for fortnightly relaxation massage. Within 5 minutes of commencing the massage he would be snoring very loudly. I found it a little uncomfortable and funny at first, but learned to tune it out. My client achieved deep relaxation in our massage sessions, and that is what is important, that he could find a time and space to feel completely comfortable and allow himself to let go
