Thanks for the add Bobbi, I've been an RN since 98, work in Critical care love it. Started MTX degree program because I've always liked massage for my aches and pains in lower back and after overdoing it working out. I was always giving backs and shoulder rubs to coworkers who said I was "Awesome". When my mother got dx with fibromyalgia and MS in the same year I thought this would be a great time to become an LMT as well. I teach my father(an RN as well) things he can do for my mother and I volunteer MTX to some of the people in her support groups. I finish school in December, so just a few short months, then plan to take my boards ASAP. Will still do some services for my mothers friends, but looks like I've got the makings of a nice outcall biz with all the nurses, docs and people I currently work with and ones I've worked with before, then just my other friends. I've been lucky never had a shortage of bodies for practice. I mainly prefer to perform Deep tissue, and NMT, and like Craniosacral tx as well. I've converted alot of my friends into DT junkies, most of them thought it had to be painful, but just like me they prefer it as their general relaxation tx to swedish. I might call on you from time to time if you don't mind for advice or tips if thats ok. Anything I know about nursing is at your disposal. Once again thanks for the add.
