Yes I worked for someone else before I opened my own practice. It's recommended to get more experience and refine your palpation skills. I also used the time to decide what I wanted to do, work in a spa, myself etc...it also gives you an idea in what direction you want your career to take, sports, medical massage, spa etc....

I became a therapist in 2003 and opened my practice in 2004 so no I didn't open my practice right away. I was born and raised in chicago and now I am moving back
