Claude Ratliffe, I have a Ph.D. in psychology with two Masters degrees; half an MD and half a DC. I wanted to make sure you did not get misled by my "doctor" title, but I did have the chance to study human anatomy and physiology, etc. on a deeper level than many MT's, but sadly, or maybe not sadly, I had life events occur so that I was unable to finish the MD and DC degrees. Hopefully, I blend all my knowledge into my work as a massage therapist. I have to be careful not to overstep the scope of practice of my licensure as an LMT. It's always been my feeling that medicine must evolve to caring for the whole person, so someday it will embrace all alternative paradigms that work to help a person heal. That would be "integrated medicine." And, I've worked in hospitals as a med tech under tutelage of MD pathologists. My pace is not as fast as ER's and hospitals. I like the peace and tranquility of massage therapy.
