Hi everyone! I am so excited to find this wonderful venue to exchange information and gain fellowship with our profession. I am a LMT and practice Manual Lymph Drainage also. My practice is dedicated to working with burn survivors and others with traumatic scar tissue. I have taught internationally and have had the privilege of speaking to groups about the work all over North America. I have published research on massage and pediatric burn scars with the help of some amazing therapists-Raquel Torres, Diane Garrison, Dana Ruben and Dr. Annie Morien.
I am currently working with an area hospital's burn unit to translate the research from pediatric survivors to adult survivors.
I would love to hear from others that work with the burn community, mastectomy and other traumatic scarring. I will be teaching in Portland, Oregon in October and Florida most of the summer.
