Almost a thousand years ago Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon (Maimonides 1135-1204) was one of the Middle East's greatest Physicians and Scholars. He was widely know by Arabs & Christians, as well as, Jews. From his studies of the Torah (over 3,000 years before),Hippocrates (460 BCE – ca. 370 BCE) and Galen (129 – 216,  Maimonides developed his theories of medicine.
