California Police Cheifs Rallying Support to Kill State Level Regulation

A Beginning, not an end

Its a tremendously exciting time! This Saturday (May 15, 2010) we will be announcing the release of the inaugural Massage Therapy Body of Knowledge (MTBOK) at the "Highlighting Massage Therapy in CIM" conference in Seattle, WA. This week is a big week in the world of massage therapy research.

COMTA: A Contradiction?

COMTA (Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation) is in dire need of volunteers, so why did they just get rid of a good one? I’m referring to John Goss, who has served COMTA for 10 years in several capacities,

Massage Therapy Research Study wins FIRST place in Research Day Poster Presentation

Wow! I just finished my first research study: Does Massage Reduce Pain in Hospitalized Children


It was a 3 month study evaluating pain scores before and after a massage therapy session. 108 massage sessions were provided, how-ever only the first massage score was used in order to reduce patient/therapist bias.
