A little about me

I just wanted to say a little about myself so my virtual friends know a little bit about who I am.

First of all, I'm a single mother to a very boistrous, nearly 4 year old little girl named Audrey. She's my pride and joy and my reason for going back to school to make a better life for us. I want to lead her and show her that no matter what trials and tribulations she may go through on her journey she can make a name for herself and be an independent woman.

I'm currently a student in my 4th quarter, at Rasmussen College in Rockford, IL. I should be finishing up my Associates in December 2010. I love going to school there. I've learned so much and I'm excited to go to class. My favorite part is the hands on experience. I like getting my hands on fellow students and friends and family, and learning different techniques and seeing how good they feel afterwards. This is, next to being a mother, the most rewarding thing I've experienced.

Although I'm nervous about taking the National Boards, I'm excited to have my degree and license in hand and be able to practice Massage Therapy and bring relief and relaxation to others.

I haven't decided exactly what I plan to do after school whether it be a spa, chiropractic, wellness clinic, or private practice I want to go into yet. I haven't found a modality I'd like to specialize in yet either. I like to keep my options open and see what's out there for me and what I can be the best at. I still have plenty of time to figure that out and it will happen when the time is right.

I look forward to hearing about everyones experiences with Massage and all of the different modalities out there..some of which I have never heard of before.
