So I can see it's been awhile since I've been on the site and figured it was time for an update =)
Since my last visiting here I have graduated from Rasmussen College with my Associates degree in Massage Therapy on Dec. 19, 2010. I took my National Boards exam on Dec. 23 and passed! It was a great Christmas gift to myself to graduate and pass the boards! I sent out my application for my state license the beginning of Jan. and I'm still waiting for it to be processed. My fellow therapists that I graduated with said that it took them 2 months for their license to be put through. I'm anxious to start working but trying to be patient at the same time.
I'm going to be attending Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago starting in the fall of 2011. With the education that Rasmussen provides its MT students all we need to take are 3 extra general ed. classes and we can skip the Bachelors program and jump straight in to the Masters which is what I'm working towards right now. Rasmussen was generous enough to allow me to take these extra classes so I can begin working on my Masters of Traditional Oriental Medicine in the fall.
I'm excited to be furthering my education and I'm looking forward to learning everything Pacific has to offer me.
2010 ended and 2011 began on a great note. I'm excited to see what the rest of the year has to offer me :)
