I had occasion to ponder this some time ago and thought It might be wize to bring it up here for debate. The working asumption is that those reading this are gifted as energy/light workers but NOT trained as Social Workers or in other forms of "Talk Therapy."
Several years ago I was giving a massage to a friend of mine whom I had known for well over a decade. She was psychicaly gifted and we were very comfortable interacting on both the energetic and 3D planes. She told me she had a "string of pearls" along her right IT band. The hurt for some time (over 20 years) but she had never been able to get them to release. I explained that there may be muscle memories lodged there. As I worked these "pearls' out of her IT band Information was released with them. This was highly personal information that as friends we had never shared. After the massage when my table had been put away. I asked her and she revealed the information and stated she had not given these matters any thought in some time. Later, on her own released these trapped emotions and her "string of pearls" slowly disappeared. Obviously the multi dimensional nature of this relationship made the whole matter fairly simple.
For many MT/Lightworkers energy is transformed into information. Most of this energy/information helps the therapist "overdeliver", accomplish work the client was in need of but may not have been specifically mentioned. As MT's we all accept that a certain amount of our work is sense related. Certainly clinical experience factors in. Here's the question:
Accepting that energy is translated into useable information and given to us in a non conscious way and accepting that this information is an intended communication, Is it ethical to respond to that information if it is not bodywork related?
