Hi Hannah...
Several suggestions for home based practices.

1. Quiet - no phone interruptions or children
2. People tend to arrive a bit later (more relaxed) and stay longer
3. Make sure neighbors don't object
4. House upkeep - need to stay on top it, unless you have a separate entrance
5. Take referrals only. You want to be cautious inviting strangers into your home
6. Allows for great flexibility working from home and less expenses
7. Make sure your home insurance covers any possible accidents, slipping, falling etc.
8. If you have family/children etc., they need to respect your space/time/quiet
9. I wouldn't publicly advertise your address ...word of mouth is the best

Have any specific questions, contact me. I've had a home business more than once, a private office, clinic etc.
Much Success!

PS I enjoy working at my home, however, I take very few at my house nowadays!
