i wish call girls would quit screwing up our good name by calling themselves massage therapists!

so... i got a job a few days ago and it sounded great, things looked legit...come to find out this lady was pimping me out for happy endings. I'm just starting out in my career, this has been a frustrating week:(

i just want to help people, and unfortunately we have these people in our way. the world will never realize how important we are and how needed we are becoming, if we constantly have to fight for what our name means.

I don't understand how massage therapy got mixed up with the word hooker. Why couldn't they just keep their own name, why take ours??

i know this is my first blog, but it's been a rough week and i had to vent to the only people in the world that would understand. My family of massage therapists:)

I understand. Living in Las Vegas we get this all the time. Take a look in the phone book and it's rediculous. Dancers, escorts, massage something-or-other.....all posing as legit MT's. I deal with local 'vegas residents and avoid tourists and anything associated with them (in regards to massage.)

If I were you in your next interview, I'd wait for an opening and ask the interviewer what services they provide (to ensure they are on the up and up ;))

Very important that there be some differentation...I rarely even use the term 'massage here. Keep plugging...you'll evetually get good client/patients. ;)
