When you peel back the layers of the desire to know Truth, you can find Truth through Intuition! (intuition inspired information that streams through our consciousness at lightning speed)

What is your Truth? Please do not misunderstand what I am asking. I am not advocating that the answer is the same for everyone.  No one can tell you what the 'true answer' or the 'right answer' is for you.  When I speak about Truth, I am talking about the 'true north' direction that is unique to You. True north is the direction towards your authentic and congruent heartfelt Truth. It is as if you could pull out a compass from your heart, take one look at it, and follow the coordinates through the intuitive guidance that your heart has connected into and then follow that path.

My experience is that if you really do not want to know your Truth, you will deny your Truth through unconscious or conscious lies, which is essentially rejecting your intuition. The reason why I titled this article Intuition = Truth and not Denial/Lies + Intuition = Truth is because the latter equation is the paradigm where most of us superficially live and the former equation is the paradigm where we can live more deeply.  I am more interested in living more deeply with meaning and purpose.

One reason that it can be difficult to live in Truth is because we all want to be loved and accepted and belong to our families, our organizations, the world. We fear that if we really live into our Truth, the people around us might not like us and we might even get rejected. Ouch! Who would want that potential? So, we tend to live within and underneath the layers of false beliefs, perceptions, judgements, restrictions...the list goes on. We so desperately hold onto those false external forces and let those forces dictate our true internal force....our life force, our Truth. The holding on is the cause for the energy that is blocked within each one of us and what wants to be liberated so we can live more fully and with more energy.

The lies and denial of myself began when I unconsciously believed that if I was to be accepted and "loved" by the people I grew up with, I needed to think and do as they thought and did. When I was learning this way of belonging in my family, I learned that if I was excited about something or thought a certain way about something, or didn't like a certain type of food, I would hear things like "Oh, that is not how you feel......or......You need to like that food, everyone else does.......or......you shouldn't like that person......or........calm down, don't get so excited". You get the picture, right? No one is to blame here, it's just the way generations and generations of families have been unconsciously accepting one another. I understand that boundaries are great and discipline is great, but censoring feelings, preferences, desires, etc kills the spirit right out of a person. Fortunately, those of us on the path of self discovery are awakening to the fact that it doesn't do us any good to place blame and it is our responsibility to emerge from false beliefs into a more authentic life. Some of us, however, have left our broken spirits in the past and have abandoned ourselves.  Some of us are unconsciously or consciously coping through lies and denial of our Truth. If this is NOT you and you are able to live your life with authentic freedom and a sense of authentic actualization of self, I hope you are sharing your gift with others.

"The more important a project is to your soul's evolution, the more you'll resist it" - Steven Pressfield.

This is a powerful quote and leads me into the challenge that I have for you which is to become aware of one thing that you have not been completely honest about. You know yourself better than anyone and if you do not know yourself better than anyone, today is the day to begin that process.

So, here's the challenge: Notice what images, thoughts, ideas enters your mind the next time someone asks you what you would like to eat for dinner or asks you where you would like to eat out for dinner.  Just notice. Then, the next step is to answer the question using your intuition.  A simple way to do this is to energetically drop down into your heart space and answer the question. The challenge will be to remain in your heart and away from your mind.  If you do not know how to tap into your intuition, you can always check out the tools that I have given you in the series of 'Liberating Your Life Force Through Intuition'.

When this exercise was suggested to me to do, I was completely blown away by what I found out about myself from this simple question.  Here is a big hint on what I learned about myself:  I spent a lot of time accommodating others!
