We use the terms: ‘the sixth sense’, ‘the inner voice’, ‘the mother’s instinct’, ‘the gut feeling’ to describe intuition. Intuition is knowing something without evident knowledge.

How does one tap in to ‘the inner voice’ or ‘the gut feeling’ without using the five physical senses of sight, smell, sound, taste, or touch? Better yet, what if you try to tap into your intuition and you don’t sense anything at all, or you get bogus or dead wrong information?

There are two hemispheres of the human brain in both men and women. The hemisphere on the left side handles logical and concrete intellectual knowledge. The hemisphere on the right side handles illogical and abstract concepts that cannot be expressed or articulated with rational words, but are expressed as emotions (energy in motion that give rise to symbols, colors, feelings, etc) to communicate with the conscious left hemisphere of the brain. So, we can say that intuition is a right hemisphere of the brain process that manages subconscious or abstract information. When we are faced with a logical problem, the left hemisphere of the brain offers only factual information related to this topic that has been stored with quantified and qualified data. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the left brain is the data center of truth and proof, it just means it is a place where data is stored and can be backed up with reason, real or not real. This is the place in our conscious mind where decisions are made. But wait! The right brain is also offering relevant information. By connecting with your innate intuition housed in the right hemisphere of the brain, you can tap into more accurate and concrete information based on a more expansive pool of information than just the simple logical and rational facts that have been accounted for.

Remember…real or not real. By learning to use your intuition, you are tapping into the unlimited potential of your mind as well as the unlimited potential of the universe’s collective mind.

We actually know a lot more than we think we do. Our brain is constantly exposed to and processing millions of bits of information every second and our brain has to filter out all of the information that the brain decides process consciously. This information that doesn’t get processed consciously gets stored in the subconscious mind. Your intuition is the process in charge of processing this information using emotions as the communication channel. This is why in a flash of an instant you can have a good or bad emotion about something without having all the facts.

When we get out of our own way, it is simple to learn how to tap into the one of the most valuable natural energy resources on the planet….Your Intuition!
