Hi Kris, glad to meet you.  I'm a MT in Blue Springs Mo., a suburb of Kansas City. I noticed you were talking to someone about the massage being specific to the clients wants, and I'm sure, needs.  That is what I've based my work on: Doing the massage as much as possible to fit the clients wants and needs.  It is a waste of time and money to do otherwise in my opinion.  Most people don't seem to do that at all. I don't know how many times I've gone to get a massage, pointed out that I needed extra work in a particular area and then got the same standard massage they give everyone.  The majority of the people I''ve worked on come in with heavy pain in neck & shoulders, lower back & hips, usually from stress.  They're looking for relief and I think it's a disservice to them not to make those areas the the prime objective.  A little all over massage to tie things together is needed too but it's not the most important part; pain relief is what people need most. in my opinion.

Hi Kris-  Great to meet you as well.  I am in Dallas TX.  New to massage as I just got license in October 2010.  Have been doing/teaching essential oils classes for several years.  Now I can combine the knowledge in a great healing way.  I am excited about all I have learned and all that there is yet to learn.  Thanks for friending.

Hi Kris!

No, you a most definitely NOT intruding...I appreciate you for reaching out! I am just getting started with networking within the massage community and I look forward to learning more about YOU. I have been a LMT since 1994 and have had a FABULOUS career with much good fortune and LOTS of healing!

I have, withing the past year and half, been providing the power of touch to the eating disorder community. Very powerful work..way beyond even my high expectations. I have developed and facilitate an Aftercare Life Coaching program for the community and am moving away from massage towards Relapse Prevention. However, I am interested in training other Massage Therapists in Massage for Eating Disorders so the work can continue...

Would you mind sharing a bit about yourself?

Have a Blessed day!
