Not intruding at all. Thanks for the friend request. I love being a massage therapist and plan on brainstorming at times for needs....hope that cool with you. The more heads the better!
Good afternoon Kris, I am in school for Massage therapy, and I was a physical therapist assistant before I was laid off and needed more (in my mind) education. I was taking my pretest last Tuesday and I didn't score as good as I wish. When you were studying did you use your plain and simple guide for the most part?
I am currently a student however i would like to start studying on my leisure time for the Mblex test. Any suggestions on where to get the information from?
Thanks for the friend invite too. As you have seen, I am based in the UK and have just been studying Erik Dalton's work and saw that he was here, so thought it was worth signing up.
My main practice is Structural Integration/Bodywork, having studied with Tom Myers in the UK and I have also taken James Waslaski's courses - one last year when he came to teach in Yorkshire. Am currently watching Erik Dalton's DVD series - fascinating and I am learning a lot from them. I love the way that he combines Rolfing techniques with osteopathic techniques - this is kind of work that I originally learned in Uni and stopped using it for a bit - great re-introduction to it.
I'm just about 2 months into school and am looking to "sponge-up" as much information about everything as possible (taking a Cranio course in Dec, reading up on Feldenkrais, Rolfing and about a half-dozen other modalities...). As I get my feet more wet around here I'm sure I'll be picking your brain a lot.
Thanks Kris. It's always great to meet people of like minds. FYI, I love Vegas. I'm in the Tacoma-Seattle area. 10 years in the biz. Program manager for massage at Everest College- Tacoma....looking forward to liveley chat.
No not intruding at all. Nice to see someone ask to be a friend.
I am new to this sight and to massage therapy I just graduated from Everest institute (in Kalamazoo Mi) I took my EMBLX and failed but I am verry determand to pass... Also Im looking for advice to get some paying reliable customers. everyone seems to want something for nothing and it is hard to get the people I know to even try a massage...
thank-you for you friendship.
I will be in vagas in November maybe I can meet you in person..
Nice to meet you. Thank you for the note, and you weren't intruding--it's always appreciated when people introduce themselves. I'm an LMP up here in the Seattle area, for nearly 9 years. It's nice to meet you--
thanks for the add! I am just getting out into the world of massage although I graduated almost a year ago. I am looking forward to starting a practice and learning more as I continue to grow as a therapist. Nice to meet you! Be blessed!
Thanks for the Hi and you weren't intruding. Vegas is nice if you like desert my best friend lives there. I can't wait to get back to the west coast to continue practicing with chiropractors as all there is here is spa and it's not my thing. Have a blessed day!
Thanks for touching base. I used to be a massage therapist - miss it. But now i am the manufacturer of massage shells. I visited LV a couple of years ago to show my shells. I don't think they wanted to take the chance. But I will get out there again.
Are you going to any of the upcoming shows - amta or amc I will be at those shows. Say Hi if you go Julia
HI Kris, Thanks for the hospitality. I'm a massage therapist doing mostly myofascial release as taught by John Barnes. How is the massage community in LV? I hear the Nevada economy is one of the harshest in the US right now. I hope you are doing well.
How are you? how's Vegas? I've only heard about it. Thank You i appreciate you reaching out. I am also looking to build an network of Massage and bodywork professionals.
