That would certainly explain their inability to find basic information about legislation affecting their profession. but how are they going to access information about upgrading the sales skills or the CEU Centralized Ministry of Information you are proposing?

 

Let's cut down trees, print it and mail it to everyone who does not have internet access.

 

Maybe MTAA can offer internet access -- instead of insurance -- as their point of distinction for AMTA and ABMP

 

"They have no voice as well."

 

Everyone has a voice, whether or not the choose to use it. It is arrogant to think you are giving someone a voice, like they are helpless without you.

I like that you stood your ground even if you had to yell to be heard...  In any case, I just signed up for the Alliance, although I am not sure if i am a business or a therapist or a school, since I am all 3.. I assume these things will be figured out by July..

*nod*  I wonder what sort of numbers Mike means by "many," too, and what sort of citation he has for this.  Are we talking about home access?  Any access at all?  It's such a prevalent tool and means of communication that really, my mind boggles at a significant number of people not having any sort of access to the internet. 

 

After all, Antarctica's got access.  You can send email via ham radio in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.  Nome, Alaska has internet, even though they don't have roads out of town.  I myself am in a library using a public computer at this exact moment.  I'm sure that some folks don't have any sort of access, but I think "many" is a bit of a stretch.

Hi Emmanuel,

Glad to have you with us.  You are a therapist.  That is what I have tried to tell people that there are vendors, there are teachers, but they are therapists.

This has got to be one of the most entertaining discussions I've read in a while.  I signed up for the Alliance Mike.  I look forward to finding out more about it and participating.

Job desciptions are up and Bylaws are being worked on. It is being created so that therapists are in control. Their discussions and polls will determine the direction the group takes. I am hoping they will really watch legislative efforts around the country and keep therapists informed.
