Mobile Marketing

I have been paying attention to mobile marketing. All the marketing experts claim you must be smart phone friendly. Does anyone here use bulk txt messaging in order to reach you clients if you need to fill a last min. slot?

I don't myself but a friend of mine does post on Facebook if she has an opening, and another uses a tweet to announce openings. I don't know anyone who is pushing the smart phones specifically yet. I imagine like the web you need to give an "opt out" strategy to avoid being labeled a spammer... in that sense Twitter is good because they've signed up to follow you. I'm interested in how you decide to proceed - keep posting :-) -Erica

This website got me thinking how to effectively set up mobile marketing for myself. I think twitter and facebook are great to post last min. opening but not everyone can check their account at work or on their phone. So I have been thinking that sending bulk txt message would be more effective to reach more people
