When I opened my massage studio over two years ago I did not have the money to purchase electric tables. As such, I currently have three portable tables (two Oakworks and one Earthlite) and I am considering purchasing Oakworks Proluxe Convertable table lifts. The description says the lifts offer smooth height adjustments allowing you to easily change the height of your table without straining etc. It supposedly has a powerful electric motor which lifts the table from 20" to 36" with a choice of either a foot or hand control. It also supposedly can be used with any portable table.

Has anyone purchased and tried this lift? It sounds like it would be ideal for at least two of my tables. The Earthlite one maybe not since it was customized to be oversized for my Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy services.

How stable is the table on the lift? Any trouble or concerns with lifting a client while on the table and using the lift? It sells at Universal Companies for $764.

I hadn't seen this before. Thanks for posting Tonya. Have you found anything that states the load lift? I looked at Oakworks but couldn't find the weight. I'd also be interested in anyone's experience with this unit.

I've been looking at this one which supports 600# and has a range of 17" to 37". This makes it easy for elderly and wheel chair people to get on the table. Then you lift to working height. But it is about double the price.

I found a link on Oakworks site that shows a video and states that the load lift is 'up to 450 lbs. It's the only lift under $800 on the market (retail price is set at $899 but they're selling for less at companies like Universal and Rehabmart.com.

Thanks for posting the link to the other one too, however, that is for a complete electric lift table (not simply the lift for converting portable tables to electric tables) so no wonder it is over $1400! A couple of years ago they were closer to $2,000 so it's good to see they're at least coming down in price -- I still can't afford it now anyway :-). I'll have to look into other convertable lifts for portable tables that may work best for my Earthlite since it supports up to 800 lbs.
