This essay explains the world view through the Yuanji Three Element theory. It is a alternative to traditional science. Yuanji is a world view that offers an approach to well being. How do you think this approach relates to evidence based massage? Is the evidence fragmentary in nature or holistic?

Daniel,
It looks like an interesting read and I have only skimmed the document. I can tell you straight off the bat that I'm not impressed with how they have put "Toward an Integration of Eastern and Western Science" as one of their main titles though. Eastern "philosophy" or "belief systems" - maybe. If that's the case, then it would be a challenge, to say the least.
To quote Novella:
There is no such thing as “Western science” or any other qualified science. Science is a set of methods for systematically and carefully gathering reliable evidence, for testing ideas by seeing if their predictions can be verified, using valid logic to draw conclusions, and fairly considering all available evidence.
(From this entry, - there are probably more to the "Western Science" phrase)
I'll look at it some more though. By the way, I don't consider myself evidence-based. I try to be evidence-informed in my practice, but if you're looking for feedback from the strong supporters of EBP (i.e. people that know a lot more than me), my guess is that you won't get it since most of them won't bother with this site any more.
I'll give more feedback after I've read it though. I'd also like to hear what others think of it too.
