When it comes to an electric table you have to ask yourself a couple questions. First and foremost, what types of therapy will you offer, as many tables have different options. For me, a practicing trigger point therapist, I like a Hi/Lo table because I will place my clients in many different treatment positions such as prone, semi-prone, supine, side lying, and seated. Because of the versatility of an electric table I can lessen any additional stress on my body and deliver better therapy by being able to make slight adjustments to the table. I found this one on Ebay and got it with a few minor scrapes for $500.

Yes. I work at a hospital and a cancer center in St. Charles, MO. They are both Oakworks. Love them and would not consider any other brand. It serves ergonomically as well because of different sizes of people at a touch of a foot pedal! At the cancer center, I share the room with a physical therapist for lymphedema drainage and she loves it as well.

Thanks for your thoughts. Yes i do many different therapies that is one main reason why I am checking them out. It will be most handy with Cranio work and Ashiatsu Therapy.
sounds like you got a great deal on ebay. I have gone there but with no luck. I am looking into purchasing a new one.the brand eurotechtable.??? It s a big investment! I think its the right one though after doing this work for almost 10 years.

I bought an Oakworks table from Craigslist my first year in practice. Although it was a bit of a drive (3 hours), the table was only 6 months old and had all the features I wanted and a few more. Even with the drive/gas - I still saved about $800 from what I would have spent for the same table new.
I've been very thankful since - not only for easy access for my clients but also for my body mechanics. It's silent and most of the clients aren't even aware the table is moving.

I made my own electric table by buying a used dental chair. Discard the chair, as you only need the electric ram. Weld a platform onto the ram and add a piece of plywood over that. Cover the wood with foam and a vinyl cover. Finish with your own cloth covers and a pillow -- you're ready for a client. I need my table at about 18 inches off the floor for pelvic stabilizatiion at the end of a prenatal massage. The rest of the work is done at normal table height. This homemade table cost me about $500 and works beautifully for all my pregnant moms when I need the table unusually low to stretch quadratus lumborum at the end of every prenatal massage.

I have the Earthlite Ellora Lift Table and it works very well. Picked it up from massage warehouse last year. Weights about 200 pounds and was delivered by truck. Well worth the investment. Don

Absolutely, anyone in a stationary business should have an electric table if for nothing else but their own body. I adjust my table several times during massage so that my body is always comfortable. It is a big part of the key to the longevity of my practice - 12 years and going strong!

My clinic has Earthlite lift tables. FANTASTIC! Saves your back, better experience for the client. You can move it as needed for different positions of the client and different sized clients. Best part is the client doesn't even know they are moving most of the time so it is not disruptive to the session.

There is one that I found by looking real quick. Go to Ebay and search under "Earthlite Electric Massage Table" and you should be able to view it. That is if nobody else here saw it and jumped on it - and I am sure they won't :) I had considered one like this, but I think I like my Metron table better. At least it will give you an idea of what is out there.

Yes. We have an Oakworks Performance Lift Table. I wouldn't choose any other brand. Being able to raise and lower the table with the foot controls has been wonderful. Also, being able to tilt the table (to work the neck or feet...) is a bonus. I love my Oakworks Nova portable table, but I have to say, I am sure glad I decided to get a Performance Lift electronic table. It's worth every penny.
