Embarrassing is strictly a cultural issue. Know your clientele. Gas is not an issue for Chinese. A loud belch is not embarrassment for Indians. But a female practitioner about to do a chair massage on an orthodox Jew or Muslim male grabbing their hand to shake it is as big an offense as removing the sheet to let your client turn over for many people. As has long been discussed here, draping or not is also simply a cultural issue. So it boils down to if your cultures are similar you know what is embarrassing and humor often relaxes the situation. Or if your culture teaches you it is better to ignore it, do so. Making to much ado, will usually compound the embarrassment in any culture.
