I am planning to do couples massages for Valentine's day.  Does anyone have any suggestions or comments on their experiences?

Are you doing them by yourself or with another therapist? I gave every female client a rose at my center in FL.
I'll be doing the couples massage with another therapist I'll have 2 different therapists helping me. 1 female and 1 male. Do you find any preference among your clients as who gets the female or male? Also any comments on having a glass of champagne for the client after the massage?

It's really funny. When we did couples, almost always, one or the other was jealous if the male worked with the female and a lady worked on the man. But men prefer women. So what I ended up doing was having two women do the massages and it solved this problem. With some couples, it would have actually been better to have had completely separate rooms. We had folding doors between two rooms that allowed them to basically see each other and I think looking back, I would have had separate rooms.

Champagne? Check your state laws, use small glasses, only one and I see no harm. Don't know I'd advertise the drink as you may be breaking some kind of concessionaire rule. Candles are nice for these massage as well and make sure the tables are nice and warm. Have fun and Good Luck!

I have had some great experiences doing couples massages so far. Have not had a bad one and have enjoyed all the couples. Many of them are very fun.

I am now doing Couples Hot Stones massages and with these the only down side is with 2 heaters in the room temp rises about 10 degrees in the 90 minutes it takes to do the massage. So all are very warn by the end.
Arrive together, set-up together, be in sync with one another. Stick with the Swedish style for relaxation and to raise energy for the couple afterwards. Romantic music. I don't usually add props or extras unless it relates to the massage it self. Sometimes for a romantic booking I will bring two sets of satin sheets. I also offer a Romance Package that has all the extras. Do a nice relaxing massage and keep the romantic intention, love and heart in mind!
