massage and bodywork professionals

I have been trying to find info on the best cities to go to to work as a Massage Therapist.  Currently I live in the Mid-West and jobs and opportunities here suck!  If you don't luck up and get a good client base right out of school, or don't end up with a job at Massage Envy or Massageluxe here, you are pretty much in trouble.  So I would like to know where is the best places to move to where one can be  profitable as a massage therapist...?  So far, Huston has came up to be number one, but I would like your opinions....

I've always heard that massage is more of people's lives the farther west one moves. So it seems that California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington etc would be good choices. On the other hand the industry could be flooded with really talented, focused, driven therapists with whom you would be in competition.

I'm in Chicago and have been slowly building my business and educating the locals about the value of massage.

Where did you go to school?
It's probably true that massage more of people's lives the further one moves west, but there are also that many more massage therapists already established. I am in San Francisco and things have definitely been more challenging for all us during the recession. I know a lot of under-employed massage therapists. We may even have more therapist than demand warrants at this time. I would just go where you want to be and not focus so much on "best" places for massage. As Samantha said, do your own thing, whether that be in the Midwest or elsewhere.
The grass is always greenest where I stay and water it. Just a thought.
I wen to school at Saint Louis College of Health Careers...I have really been contemplating bout Chi town..
