I just got a call for an appointment with a woman who says she has lupus. Although I had an instructor in school who had lupus, I am not that familiar with it, but I feel from my research and her other concerns this client expressed to me for needing pain relief, that I could help her.

can anyone give any input on an approach I should use, what to look for, etc?

I appreciate it. Thank you,

Kevin

A person presenting lupus will benefit greatly from reflexology. I have been working with a friend who has been fighting lupus for the last several years, not to mention several other auto-immune challenges. By working all the reflex areas of both feet you will be able to facilitate relief from this terrible condition. This person presenting lupus will benefit from having at least 2 sessions per week for a number of weeks depending on their financial status.

I invite you to visit www.orthoflexology.com, there is a free video that will instruct you on how to perform the reflexology thumb walking technique, you will then apply that technique to all reflex areas of both feet. I encourage you to use a firm pressure, however always work within the clients tolerance. If you visit case study #6 you will be able to read the testimonial about my friend who has lupus.

Respectfully,
Scott
I am currently working with a lupus client, yes, reflexology is part of what I do to assist my client as well as myofascial release. Depending on the clients abilit to go deep or soothing. The focus has been more fluid movement through the system, creating the openings where the tension is or discomfort.
I have had great seccess with my client, best of luck and I look forward hearing more about your progress.
